The Quiet Man Bridge

he Quiet Man Bridge is located 5 miles past Oughterard, on the N59 heading west, which was the setting for the 1950 film “The Quiet Man” starring John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara.

Much of the movie was filmed in the Cong area.

The bridge is set in a bit to the left but is visible from the road and is clearly signposted.




The Aran Islands are  located in the center of the Wild Atlantic Way. It is Accessible from Rossavel (Connemara & Galway). The Aran Islands are also accessible from Doolin which is close to the Cliffs of Moher in County Clare.
